Real Estate Market Update

Approaching housing boom... We have been saying that housing prices in the Gables have been creeping upward, a good sign of a recovering market. Now Florida Realtors reports that economists predict a new national housing boom by 2015, with prices rising by 5% to 7.5% per year and home construction by 20% per year.   Florida Realtors Article

Junior League Reception

The Sustainers gathered to celebrate achieving the $1 million fundraising goal for the Junior League of Miami Foundation. Among the attendees were Jowanda Peterson, Cathy Zuckerman Dee, and Ginger Jochem, pictured at right.

Coral Gables Garden Club

Barbara Reese and Marie Vaca (pictured at right), are chairpersons of the annual Holiday Home Tour of the Coral Gables Garden Club which raises money to restore majestic Gables entrances and for scholarships. Junior Orange Bowl (JOB) Festival Kick-Off Celebration

Gimenez presented a proclamation at the kick-off event held at the Biltmore Hotel, naming that day, September 18, 2012, Junior Orange Bowl 64th Anniversary Day. Miami Children's Hospital Run/Walk Raises $450,000+

More than 3,500 runners and walkers attended the Hyundai Hope On Wheels 2nd Annual 5K which began in front of Coral Gables City Hall. The event doubled last year’s fundraising. Lucy Morillo-Agnetti, Miami Children’s Hospital Foundation President & CEO, said “the outpouring of support from both our community and employees makes it possible for us to... provide the highest level of care to the children.”

$2-3 Million Dollar Homes Interesting Sales Data

51 listings are actively for sale in the market in Coral Gables and Coconut Grove in this price range.  28 went under contract or sold in the last 12 months; of these, 21 are on navigable water. In the Gables and the Grove, the average price per sq.ft. over the last 12 months is almost $430, and $450 per sq.ft. for those listings on the water.
